PREPARATION TIP:

Hard Kore Quiet Baffles are designed with strict tolerances.  We suggest removing any carbon deposits/buildup and any burrs inside the exhaust pipe with sandpaper, and placing a small amount of grease or WD40 around the outside of the baffle cap to aid the installation process if required.

INSTALLATION:

Couldn't be easier .....

• STEP 1  :    Remove exhaust end cap by unscrewing exhaust allen screw with smaller allen key supplied.
  

• STEP 2  :   Remove larger screw that holds the original baffle in place with larger allen key supplied (do not remove original baffle).
  

• STEP 3  :   (See Fig. 2)  Tap quiet baffle into exhaust until large hole on Hard Kore Quiet Baffle cap is over the hole in the exhaust from the original baffle screw.  The Hard Kore Quiet Baffle MUST be inserted squarely into the exhaust pipe – this is important!!  To check the quiet baffle is inserted squarely, measure from the quiet baffle to the end of the exhaust at several points around the exhaust pipe.  The measurement must be exactly the same at all points. Reinsert the original baffle screw.
  

• STEP 4  :   Replace exhaust pipe end cap.  You’re done !!
  

NOTE :  As with all motor modifications, some rejetting may be required.  The baffles may create a slightly rich condition in some circumstances.  Generally, leaning up the fuel/air mixture screw slightly is all that is required.
