PREPARATION TIP:
Hard Kore Quiet Baffles are designed with strict tolerances. We suggest removing any carbon deposits/buildup and any burrs inside the exhaust pipe with sandpaper, and placing a small amount of grease or WD40 around the outside of the baffle cap to aid the installation process if required.
INSTALLATION:
Couldn't be easier.....
- STEP 1 : Remove exhaust end cap (if applicable) and original baffle with allen key supplied.
- STEP 2 : (See Fig. 1) Line up hole on tab with bolt hole on exhaust pipe. Tap quiet baffle into exhaust. The quiet baffle MUST be tapped in squarely – to check, measure from the quiet baffle to the end of the exhaust at several points around the exhaust pipe.
- STEP 3 : Insert screw and tighten tab down with acorn cap nut. Replace exhaust end cap (if applicable).
NOTE : As with all motor modifications, some rejetting may be required. The baffles may create a slightly rich condition in some circumstances.
