CONTENTS :
1 Hard Kore Quiet Baffle,
1 Allen Key, 1 Screw, 1 Drill Bit.
IMPORTANT :
Use Loctite on all screws.
Use WD40 on end of original baffle to ease reinstallation.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Remove original baffle / stainless tip from pipe by removing two allen head screws. (You may need to remove slip on and gently tap from the other end with wooden hammer - place something soft under pipe so that when it does fall out, the stainless tip is not damaged).
2. Drill a hole through the original baffle tube with the 1/4" bit supplied as close to the edge of the original baffle cap as possible. See diagram.
3. Insert Smartpartz Hard Kore Quiet Baffle into original baffle and line up tube shaped tab from Smartpartz baffle with hole you just drilled.
4. Insert screw supplied into the original baffle through hole you drilled and into tube shaped tab on the Smartpartz baffle and tighten.
5. Reinsert baffle assembly in exhaust pipe.
* NOTES :
(1) The baffles may create a slightly rich condition in some circumstances. As with all motor modifications, some rejetting may be required.
